Now that McKesson ideaShare is an in-person event again, we took the feedback you’ve given us over the past few years and built a show catered to you.
Think of it as a user conference. McKesson ideaShare brings independent pharmacists and their staff together for three days of networking, learning opportunities, and dedicated tracks focused on building a brighter future for the independent pharmacy industry.

When you come to McKesson ideaShare, come ready to share your knowledge with and learn from your fellow independent pharmacists from around the country.
Because of popular demand, we are planning to host additional virtual McKesson ideaShare educational opportunities to be announced and held at a later date. They will not happen concurrently with the in-person event this summer.
As the premier community pharmacy event in the country, McKesson ideaShare welcomes all independent pharmacies and their staff to participate and discover ways to innovate and thrive.
Anyone interested in attending McKesson ideaShare can register and attend all sessions and opportunities during the show. However, guests who have not registered as an attendee will not be allowed to attend the show.
We’re offering a couple of different guest pass options. The Expo Hall Adult Guest Pass allows up to one (1) guest the chance to join you on the expo hall floor and the final night party with Kool & The Gang for $399.
We’re also offering final night party guest passes for $99 for any other guests that want to join you for a lively night of fun. See all pricing options here.
Families have always been a part of the McKesson ideaShare experience. With this year’s show being located in historic Washington, D.C. at family-friendly Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, it’s a welcoming and fun place for family and friends to enjoy the weekend.
We’re also offering guest passes for adults and children to join us for the final night party with Kool & The Gang on Saturday evening for $99 (18+) and $49 (age 6-17). Children 5 and under are free.
However, the expo hall floor and all sessions featuring show content is business-oriented and not open to families and friends.
All unvaccinated employees, outside service workers, and attendees must wear face masks at all times, subject to applicable law.
Vaccinated employees, OSWs and visitors must mask in accordance with the latest CDC mask guidance pertaining to COVID-19 community levels. McKesson ideaShare will follow local face-covering mandates for Prince George’s County.
Non-McKesson employees who begin to experience symptoms of COVID-19 or receive a positive test result or diagnosis of COVID-19, must leave the event immediately and not return. McKesson will not be responsible for any costs associated with a non-McKesson employees COVID-positive isolation, quarantine, travel or other expenses.
We have simplified pricing for this year’s show. A conference pass gets you access to everything the show has to offer from start to finish (space permitting in sessions with max capacities).
We’re offering add-on guest passes for the expo hall (limit one per registration) and final night party guest passes to join you for the final night party with Kool & The Gang.

New process this year! Registered attendees must reserve their own hotel reservations via the link provided in your registration confirmation email in order to secure our special rates at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. Please note that we will not be securing hotel rooms on your behalf and that rooms are for registered attendees only.
Registration for McKesson ideaShare will open at noon ET on April 5, 2022.
You must pay for McKesson ideaShare in full with a credit card at the time of registration. We accept all major credit cards. You will not be able to complete registration without payment in full.
Yes, you can cancel by June 30 to avoid penalty. Cancellations beyond this date are non-refundable.
Registration will close on June 13.
TRAVEL & HOTEL
Hotel room cutoff date is June 13 and hotel cannot guarantee any rooms past this date. All rooms within the room block are first-come, first-served and are subject to availability.
The hotel will allow cancellations without penalty up to 72-hours prior to your scheduled arrival date. If you cancel without 72-hours notice or did not show-up for your reservation, you will be charged for one night. Any remaining nights of a no-show reservation will be automatically canceled without additional penalty.
The nearest airport to the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor is Reagan Washington (DCA) Airport, which is 5.1 miles away. Other nearby airports include Washington Dulles (IAD) at 26.2 miles and Baltimore (BWI) at 33.4 miles.
The ideaShare rebate is 2% of Total OneStop purchases for the duration of the rebate, not exceeding $4,000 in total payment (i.e. a customer that’s eligible to earn 5 months of rebates will stop earning rebates if they’ve received $4,000 in the first 3 months).
The first 1,700 2,400 retail independent small/medium chain segment stores, and ASRx stores, that register for and attend the Opening Session and Public Policy Session are eligible to receive the ideaShare rebate. Attendance will be tracked by badge scanning technology.
Multi-store owners can register up to five (5) stores (account numbers) under one registration for $799. All stores under one registration will qualify for rebate. If more than five stores need to be registered, an additional registration under a different attendee will need to be submitted for $799.
Required sessions include the Opening Session and Public Policy Session.
ASRx stores include Long Term Care, Home Health, Hospice, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing and combo facilities.
The first 1,700 2,400 stores that register and attend the Opening Session and Public Policy Session will receive up to five (5) months of rebates (August through December).
The ideaShare rebate will be paid directly to eligible stores (instead of through the buying groups) via credit memo.
Rebates will be earned starting with August purchases (paid on September 20).
Rebates will be paid on the 20th of every month.
Reporting detailing the ideaShare rebate will be made available through your sales consultant.
Only OneStop rebate eligible items will be used to calculate the ideaShare rebate.
CONTINUING EDUCATION (CE)
Absolutely. CE courses are a major part of the McKesson ideaShare experience and they will return in 2022. We will have CE opportunities on-site and in future virtual McKesson ideaShare opportunities. Stay tuned for more details on the virtual opportunities.
Pre-registration is not required for Continuing Education (CE) courses. Customers with a full conference pass will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. All CE sessions will be available on-demand, post-event for CEUs if you are unable to attend a session onsite.
This deadline is non-negotiable due to the CPE Monitor reporting timelines.
